Stoney's CJ8 build.

Post by RewT » 25 Feb 2015, 16:39

This is a 1983 Jeep CJ8 Alaskan postal left hand drive. Has lots of wear and tear on it and needs a lot of work. First thing first is the rust in the floors.

This is what I am starting with.

The day it got dropped off.

Getting a good deal is no reason to accept sub-par work, since making it right costs more later.

New to old floor braces.

More rust than we though, replacement panel not big enough, so out come the tools and make a new one.

Adding more to the floor.

And sheet metal done.

Also had to replace some of the lower firewall.
